Prepare the account and schedule disconnection
Settle previous bills and keep your registered email and mobile accessible. Sign in with DEWA or UAE PASS, select the account and move-out date/time. A verified application without login is also available. For IBAN refunds, DEWA requests bank proof showing the IBAN and a beneficiary matching the DEWA customer. Save the request reference.

Fees and final bill
For ordinary move-out, DEWA lists AED 125 for small meters or AED 300 for large meters, plus AED 10 knowledge and AED 10 innovation fees. The final bill is sent within 24 working hours of the requested disconnection date/time. Working hours do not necessarily mean the next calendar day. Check current charges and applicability with DEWA.

Settlement and deposit balance
DEWA offsets the deposit against the final bill: pay any shortfall or receive the remaining balance. Select the refund method available for your case in the application. After final settlement DEWA sends the clearance certificate. Before closing a bank account needed for refunds, confirm an alternative; we do not promise a refund date.
