Where to check Emaar, Nakheel, Dubai Properties, DAMAC and Meraas permissions; confirm access and elevators with your building.

General information, not legal advice

Emaar: check your community

ECM’s official Reem FAQ says to obtain the move-in/out permit at least one business day before the scheduled move. This published rule is for Reem; do not assume it covers every Emaar building. Check the portal and your management for your building’s requirements and elevator reservation.

Nakheel

The official FAQ recommends applying online or in the app 3 to 4 working days before move-out, with approval typically taking 1 to 2 days. This is an estimate, not a guarantee. Check your application requirements; also confirm mover access permissions and the service elevator reservation with management.

Dubai Properties

We did not verify a move-out rule or universal fee in the official FAQ reviewed. Ask your building management for the application channel, documents, lead time, any charges, truck access and elevator booking. Do not assume your mover’s reservation includes these approvals.

DAMAC

We could not verify a public official source with applicable move-out requirements. Ask your building management for the permit, documentation, any current fee, access and service elevator booking. Confirm approval before the truck arrives.

Meraas

The official Meraas app guide describes requesting move-in/out permissions and tracking approval. It does not give a fee or approval time covering all properties. Check the app and ask your building management for the service elevator reservation and access conditions.

Elevator and access: confirm separately

As a practical checklist, confirm the date, loading window, service elevator, common-area protection and access for buyers and movers. Keep the permit and written management approval. Furniture collections may need coordination separate from the main move.

Furniture before handover

If you need to sell furniture, start Nearbay with a video and review the catalog before publishing. No fixed fee. You pay 20% of what sells, and nothing if nothing sells. Commission applies to collected individual sales, capped at total individual and dealer-lot proceeds. Lot-only sales: no seller fee. Nothing upfront.

Frequently asked questions

Does one permit guarantee elevator access for every pickup?

Do not assume so. Ask management what the permit covers, confirm each collection window and check whether buyers or movers need additional authorisation.
